Accessibility statement

Our aim is for annertech.com to be as accessible as possible regardless of the ability or disability of the user. 

We are in the process of redesigning annertech.com, and accessibility is being built into the design from the beginning. 

Compliance status 

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. 

Annertech.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. 

Non-accessible content 

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of annertech.com, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below. 

Known limitations for annertech.com: 

  • Audio-only and video-only (prerecorded): Pre-recorded video-only content isn’t always accompanied by an equivalent text or audio alternative. For example the home page hero video doesn’t provide transcript or audio description.
  • Info and relationships: Not all our lists of links are contained within semantic unordered list elements, for example, the Expertise list of links on the landing page.
  • Non-text contrast: Any visual information that indicates a component's state must have sufficient contrast. Not all of the elements on annertech.com do. 
  • Pause, stop, hide: The wave animation above the footer has no pause, stop, hide functionality. This animation will be removed in the redesign. 
  • Focus not obscured (Minimum): The Mobile menu when expanded obscures focused items of background page (cannot dismiss mobile menu via keyboard command) 
  • Focus order: The mobile menu does not constrain focus when expanded Link purpose (in context): Not all our links purposes are described by their link text alone, or by the link text together with preceding page context. We are in the process of fixing this. 
  • Focus visible: Not all components provide a visible indication when they have the input focus. 
  • Name, role, value: Not all anchor elements that function as a custom widget have the appropriate ARIA widget role. 

Assessment approach 

This statement was prepared on 22 May 2025 following a review of a sample number of pages against all relevant WCAG 2.2 AA Success Criteria. 

This assessment was performed using a range of tools including (but not limited to): 

  • Modern browsers (e.g. Chrome, Firefox) 
  • Apple Safari with VoiceOver (macOS & iOS) 
  • NV Access’s NVDA (Windows) 
  • Axe-core by Deque Systems 
  • Keyboard only navigation 
  • Browser developer tools

Annertech is committed to maintaining and monitoring the accessibility of this website. As part of this process we welcome any comment, suggestions or details of problems encountered from users.

Enforcement procedure 

In Ireland, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) is the market surveillance authority that is responsible for regulating the relevant products and services covered under the European Accessibility Act. 

In the case of unsatisfactory responses to any notification or request sent through Annertech’s feedback mechanism, the CCPC can be contacted via the consumer helpline: 01 402 5555.

In the UK, the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and enforce accessibility requirements.
