Our aim is for annertech.com to be as accessible as possible regardless of the ability or disability of the user.
Compliance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Annertech.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Known limitations for annertech.com
- Audio-only and video-only (prerecorded): Pre-recorded video-only content isn’t always accompanied by an equivalent text or audio alternative, such as the video in a blog on the 2015 eGovernment Awards.
- Focus visible: Not all components provide a visible indication when they have the input focus.
- Name, role, value: Not all anchor elements that function as a custom widget have the appropriate ARIA widget role.
Assessment approach
This statement was prepared on 3 October 2025 following a review of a sample number of pages against all relevant WCAG 2.2 AA Success Criteria.
The assessment was performed using a range of tools including (but not limited to):
- Modern browsers (e.g. Chrome, Firefox)
- Apple Safari with VoiceOver (macOS & iOS)
- NV Access’s NVDA (Windows)
- Axe-core by Deque Systems
- Wave by WebAIM
- Keyboard only navigation
- Browser developer tools

Enforcement procedure
In Ireland, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) is the market surveillance authority that is responsible for regulating the relevant products and services covered under the European Accessibility Act. In the case of unsatisfactory responses to any notification or request sent through Annertech’s feedback mechanism, the CCPC can be contacted via the consumer helpline: 01 402 5555.
In the UK, the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and enforce accessibility requirements.
