Four Digital Media Awards finalist badges.

We’re delighted to announce that Annertech has been named a finalist in four categories at the upcoming Digital Media Awards.

Celebrating digital innovation and impactful digital work across Ireland, the Digital Media Awards are among the most respected accolades in the industry. Being shortlisted four times is a massive accomplishment for our team.

The awards ceremony takes place on 9 October in Dublin, and we could not be prouder of the team effort, collaboration and client trust that brought us to this point.

“To be recognised four times at the Digital Media Awards is an incredible validation of the passion, creativity and technical talent we bring to work every day," says Stella Power, Managing Director at Annertech.

“Whether it is pushing accessibility standards in local government or rebuilding our own digital home, these nominations reflect the incredible partnerships we build with our clients and the dedication of our distributed team.”

Here is a closer look at the four categories we are shortlisted in:

1. Best Agency – Annertech

Judges have evaluated portfolios of three clients based on the quality of work, deployed technologies, design standards, strategy and campaign development, and client return on investment. Our award entry included a varied portfolio of public sector and corporate clients.

“Being shortlisted for Best Agency is especially meaningful because it honours the collective heartbeat of Annertech,” notes Stella.

“It is a testament to our team culture, our commitment to open source and how we collaborate seamlessly across borders to deliver exceptional results for our clients.”

This nomination is really close to our hearts. When we set out to redesign our own website, annertech.com, we wanted to create an exemplary digital experience that embodies modern web design, seamless user experience and strict digital sustainability standards.

“Redesigning your own agency website is always one of the hardest projects to tackle – you are effectively your own most demanding client,” laughs Stella.

“We wanted annertech.com to showcase the best of open source technology, accessibility and user-centred design. Getting shortlisted for Best Website proves that all the hard work paid off.”

Built using Drupal and tailored for high performance, accessibility and clear navigation, our redesigned site serves as a fresh digital front door for our agency. It gives our visitors, clients and open-source community members an intuitive way to explore our work, insights and services.

3. Best in Government & Not-for-Profit – Adoption Authority of Ireland

We are thrilled that our work with the Adoption Authority of Ireland (AAI) has been shortlisted in the Best in Government & Not-for-Profit category.

The AAI performs vital, highly sensitive work, and their digital presence must reflect empathy, trust and total clarity. We collaborated closely with the AAI to build an accessible, secure and highly supportive online platform.

The redesign ensures that people searching for information regarding adoption services, records and support can navigate complex processes easily, confidentially and without friction.

4. Best in Government & Not-for-Profit – Online Planning

Also nominated in the Best in Government & Not-for-Profit category is the Online Planning portal, which we partnered on with Provident CRM.

This project changed the face of the planning industry in Ireland – moving it from a paper-based operation to a modern, transparent and user-friendly portal that simplifies how planning applications are submitted, reviewed and accessed by the public.

Planning applications and public consultations are notorious for being complex and difficult for citizens to navigate.

This project demonstrates how thoughtful digital design can democratise public sector services, save administrative overhead and empower local communities.

Looking ahead

“Our work with public bodies sits right at the heart of our mission,” says Stella.

“Projects like the Adoption Authority of Ireland and Online Planning aren't just technical implementations. They are human-first digital services that make a genuine difference in people's lives. Having both of these vital projects recognised alongside our agency and website nominations is the icing on the cake.”

We are counting down the days to the awards night on 9 October. Regardless of what happens when the envelopes are opened, being named a finalist four times is a moment of immense pride for everyone at Annertech.

We want to extend a massive thank you to our brilliant clients, partners and, above all, our incredibly talented team. Wish us luck!
