We Specialise in Websites for Charities and Non-profits

Annertech is Ireland's leading Drupal development company. We have built many, many large websites for charities and non-profits. This is an area that we understand intimately and are ready to use our accumulated knowledge to ensure that your organisation grows to become (or remain) the great oak that it deserves to be.

What websites have we worked on?
We built or rebuilt websites for Trocaire twice, Oxfam Ireland (including subsuming a number of micro sites into the new build), Irish Cancer Society (and a number of micro-sites, for example Breast Cancer Awareness Month), the Local Government Management Agency (including the experimental portal at localgov.ie), the Royal Museums Greenwich, the National Adult Literacy Agency, National Council for the Blind of Ireland and many more. We provide support to GMIT, DIT, Trinity College, Society of Actuaries in Ireland, Limerick City Council and, again, many more.

How Good are We?
Annertech re-developed Oxfam Ireland's website in 2013. Following this, Oxfam gave a presentation at “Drupal Camp Dublin”, during which they stated that since the upgrade their online income increased by 9%, page views increased by 13%, number of pages viewed per visit increased by 31%, average visit duration increased by 55%, visits from mobile devices increased by 315%, average visit duration on a mobile device increased by 16%, visits via Facebook increased by 109%, visits via Twitter increased by 515%.

In a similar manner, we increased the number of pages viewable per second on Trocaire's website to 380.35, making it over 86 times faster than when using their original CMS. As Trocaire said of the work, “we've never looked back since”.

All in all, some very successful outcomes.

What is different about a Website for Charities?
There are many features about websites for charities and non-profits that are also consistent with what you would expect on a website for a business – blog, social media, online store, etc. However, charities have different priorities: the data that you may wish to gather about your site users, and how and why your users interact with your website may be different to the data that a for-profit entity may seek to discover. The reasons you may wish to gather this data may also diverge from why a profit-seeking business may wish to do so.

As a charity, you will more than likely be involved in campaigning (for rights, against wrongs, etc) and may need to create portals that allow for an online dimension to this. You might, for example, want your users to send an email to their local TDs via a map widget to select same, you may want users to sign a petition and share it on Facebook, or embed a Twitter timeline into your sidebar.

There are great demands on charities and non-profits to be transparent. Your website is a likely place where people may come for information to see you annual reports, salaries policies, and where money received in donations in spent.

As we stated above, Annertech are Ireland's leading Drupal development company. We have been responsible for the deployments of websites and web applications for Ireland's largest charities and non-profits. With such a proven track record, we are quickly becoming the de-facto web development agency for non-profits.
