Two Annertech websites were awarded trophies at the 2024 PTSB National Digital Awards on Friday.

The Qualifax website won the Education Website of the Year award, and the National Library of Ireland website was the runner-up in the Digital Accessibility category.

The ceremony took place at Dublin’s Radisson Blu Royal Hotel on 23 February, and it was the biggest one to date. The latest iteration of the National Digital Awards, which are run by Digital Business Ireland, saw more than 550 submissions across 22 categories.

“The standard of entries was excellent this year, so we were delighted when the National Library of Ireland website was announced as a runner-up in the Digital Accessibility category. We are proud accessibility advocates, and build accessibility into our websites from the beginning,” said Managing Director Stella Power, who attended the awards ceremony with Director of Managed Services Anthony Lindsay.

“We were ecstatic when Qualifax won the Education category. It’s such an important website, and helps Ireland’s young people decide their future. We had focused on the users’ experiences and put a lot of effort into ensuring that they would intuitively be presented with the information they needed, when they needed it.”

Both of these websites are managed by Anthony and his Managed Services team, who ensure that they retain their excellent performance levels.

“I am delighted with the wins; especially Qualifax,” said Anthony

“It's professional peer recognition… It's a degree of validation that you are actually doing a good job and outputting good work for the people who foot the bill and the people who use the application in the end. And it's definitely nice to have received that validation in a public sphere.”

Sean O’Connell was the project manager on both of these websites when they were conceptualised and developed.

“I'm really over the moon at the recent results from the National Digital Awards,” he said.

“To be nominated alone is a testament to the achievements of the work that was put in by the teams to both projects, but to come away with two awards is the icing on the cake.”
