Join Annertech at the eolas Digital Government Conference 2026
The countdown is on for the eolas Digital Government 2026 conference, taking place on Tuesday 24 February at Croke Park in Dublin. As long-standing advocates for digital transformation in the public sector, the Annertech team is delighted to return to this flagship event as exhibitors.
The Digital Government conference is a highlight of our calendar, bringing together the minds currently shaping Ireland’s digital public services. At Annertech, we believe public sector websites are more than just information hubs; they are vital bridges between essential services and the citizens who rely on them.
Aligning with government strategy
The landscape of Irish public services is currently being redefined by the “Better Public Services: Public Service Transformation 2030 Strategy”. Launched in 2023, this ambitious roadmap aims to deliver inclusive, high-quality and integrated services that genuinely improve the lives of the people of Ireland.
A core component of this vision is the Build to Share initiative. By encouraging public bodies to share code and resources, the government aims to save significant time and money while maintaining a high standard of service.
This “shareable” mindset is exactly what drives LocalGov Drupal, a project Annertech has pioneered here in Ireland.
Why LocalGov Drupal is the future of the public sector
LocalGov Drupal (LGD) is a CMS built by councils, for councils. It is based on the open-source power of Drupal – the engine behind many of our most successful projects – and allows local authorities to collaborate on a shared codebase. Instead of every council reinventing the wheel, they can pool their resources to create superior digital experiences.
Annertech spearheaded LGD’s expansion into Ireland several years ago, and we have seen first-hand how it empowers local authorities to deliver accessible, user-centric platforms without the enterprise-level price tag.
Meet the team at Croke Park
Managing Director Stella Power and Director of Delivery Mike King will be representing Annertech at our booth. They are looking forward to discussing how open-source innovation can solve the unique challenges facing Irish public bodies today.
“The Digital Government conference is an incredible space to see how far we’ve come in the last year,” says Stella.
For us, the ‘Build to Share’ initiative isn't just a policy, it’s a philosophy. We are excited to chat with attendees about how LocalGov Drupal can turn those strategic goals into a reality for citizens across Ireland.
Mike adds that the focus this year is very much on efficiency and impact:
“In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, public sector organisations are under pressure to deliver more with less. My goal for the conference is to show how an open-source, collaborative approach can streamline operations and ensure that the digital transformation journey is as effortless as possible for the teams behind the scenes.”
If you are attending, please pop by the Annertech booth. Whether you want to talk technical strategy, LocalGov Drupal or simply say hello, we’d love to see you there.
Can’t make it to Croke Park this year?
You don’t have to be at the conference to start your digital transformation journey. If you’re interested in how LocalGov Drupal can help your organisation align with the “Build to Share“ initiative, we’d love to chat.
