The blue lion from the DrupalCamp England logo

The Drupal community is heading to the North West of England, and we couldn’t be more excited. On 28 February and 1 March, the University of Salford will play host to DrupalCamp England 2026.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event in Cambridge, this year’s edition has grown into a two-day powerhouse of innovation, learning and community spirit.

Annertech has come on board as a bronze sponsor, and we’re delighted to be able to support this event. This year’s programme is particularly ambitious, featuring a curated Saturday session track followed by a Sunday dedicated to AI-focused workshops, Drupal in a Day training for beginners and contribution sprints.

Supporting the next generation

Our involvement with DrupalCamp England started well before the doors opened. Last year, Annertech sponsored two fully funded scholarships – covering travel and accommodation – to ensure that cost wasn’t a barrier for those looking to attend. Supporting new and diverse voices in the Drupal ecosystem is a core value for us, and we are thrilled to see those scholars join the fold this year.

Being involved with DrupalCamp England is about more than just sponsorship; it is about investing in the people who make this community so vibrant. By supporting scholarships and the social side of the event, we hope to foster an environment where everyone, regardless of their background or experience level, feels they can contribute to the future of open source.

A packed schedule of innovation

The 2026 schedule reflects the rapidly evolving digital landscape. From LocalGov Drupal solutions and digital innovation to the highly anticipated practical applications of AI, there is something for everyone.

Annertech’s own Tony Barker, who has been working behind the scenes on the organising committee, is particularly excited about the move to Manchester.

Moving to the University of Salford allows us to scale up in every sense. We’ve expanded to two days to include dedicated tracks for AI and hands-on sprints, ensuring the camp provides real, practical value. It’s been a privilege to help shape a programme that caters to both the long-term Drupal experts and those just discovering what the platform can do.

The social highlight: Join us at Rain Bar

We believe that some of the best ideas in open source happen away from the podium. That is why Annertech is delighted to be sponsoring the social evening at Rain Bar alongside our friends at 1xInternet.

Located in one of Manchester’s most iconic venues, the social is the heart of the event. It is the perfect setting to continue the day’s discussions over drinks, reconnect with old friends and celebrate the community spirit that makes DrupalCamp England so unique.

Whether you are attending an AI workshop on Sunday or joining us for a drink at Rain Bar on Saturday night, we look forward to seeing you there. Let’s make the 2026 edition of DrupalCamp England one to remember.
