Annertech: A proud sponsor of DrupalCon Vienna
Preparations are well under way for our favourite event of the year – DrupalCon Europe – and we are delighted to be on board as a gold sponsor for 2025.
There’s always something very exciting about the build-up to DrupalCon Europe, and this year is no different. We are kicking off our preparations with the announcement that, once again, Annertech will be sponsoring DrupalCon Europe.
“We’ve been a DrupalCon sponsor for many years now, and we are thrilled to be able to continue supporting this wonderful event, both as a gold sponsor and as volunteers,” said Managing Director Stella Power.
This year’s edition of the popular Drupal-focused conference will take place in Vienna, Austria, from 14 to 17 October 2025, and the excitement is really starting to set in now. These are some of the things we’re really looking forward to:
The community
DrupalCon allows us to meet and connect with the Drupal community, including friends from around the world, people from other agencies and our partners. But for us it’s also an opportunity to see our colleagues in real life.
Annertechies are based across the world, from Toronto to Taipei, so we make the most of DrupalCon, and organise our own internal conferences, Annertech Days, around the same time. This gives us the chance to come together, catch up in person and chat about our own internal processes.

Showcasing our work
Having a booth allows us to showcase Annertech’s culture and work to the community. We love chatting to DrupalCon attendees about Drupal and our contributions to the project. We are crossing fingers that we might be presenting a session or two in Vienna.

Learning
One of the reasons why DrupalCon is so popular is that it allows us to learn about upcoming Drupal developments and roadmaps directly from core contributors.
Over the past year or so Drupal has been moving and developing at breakneck speed, and it’s important to keep ourselves updated with the latest developments, best practices and innovations.
Contributing
One of the best parts of DrupalCon is the support that we are able to give to the project. Annertech is committed to open-source software development and it’s such a pleasure to get involved, mentor new people and help find solutions to any problems that others may be experiencing. And we’re contributing to DrupalCon too.
Besides our favourite social event – Trivia Night, which keeps us busy with running, judging and having a lot of fun, we are also involved with the conference itself.
- Annertech Frontend Developer Juanluis Lozano is a track team member – for the highly popular Drupal CMS track.
- Developer John Cook is once again heading up the volunteers under the banner of Logistics Contributor – Onsite Volunteer.
- And Stella is also a member of the European Advisory Board, and co-chair on both the Community Support Committee and Social Events Committee.
We’re crossing our fingers that we’ll have a couple of sessions on October's schedule too!!
“The lead up to DrupalCon really is special – there is always a lot of anticipation, and a buzz in the Annertech online chats as it starts getting closer.
“DrupalCon is so important to the community. It presents us with a valuable opportunity to get together with like-minded people, and I’m really excited that we’re able to contribute to this event for another consecutive year,” said Stella.
